About Me
Hi! I am a fashion design, technology, and sustainability educator and researcher. I am an Assistant Professor of Fashion and Textiles at SUNY Oneonta starting 2026.
Before SUNY Oneonta, I completed my Ph.D. in Apparel Design at Cornell University, advised by Dr. Heeju Park. My doctoral dissertation was on AI-assisted waste reduction in the clothing patternmaking process. I also completed my M.A. in Apparel Design at Cornell, also advised by Dr. Heeju Park. My masters thesis was on making smart garment design accessible to fashion designers. Prior to Cornell, I completed my B.S. with honors at the University of Texas at Austin, double majoring in Textiles and Apparel and Electrical Engineering. At Texas, I presented my capstone collection inspired by the concept of nanocrystallines, and completed an engineering senior design project implementing machine learning for hand gesture recognition.
